Recently, PG&E shut off power to an estimated 250,000 customers in the Bay Area to reduce the risk of fire. They then announced they would do it again, and estimated around 180,000 customers in 16 different counties could be affected. This could become very common going forward, so it’s important you are prepared in the event you’re affected in the future.
